The 5 Best Party Venues in KC

It is starting to really feel like fall outside which means many people are beginning to make plans for the holidays. This also means it’s the perfect time to start planning your holiday get-togethers.

With that in mind, I have put together a list of my five favorite party venues in Kansas City. So whether you are planning a work celebration or a family get-together, each of these locations is sure to wow your guests.

Brickhouse

Located in midtown, the Brickhouse is perfect for smaller, more intimate gatherings. It is incredibly versatile and works well whether the gathering is intimate, casual, or professional.

Brickhouse can accommodate up to 100 guests and their experienced event staff will even help you plan your event. Its features include a private fully stocked bar, tons of natural light, and an incredible outdoor patio space.

Fresh Air Farm

Located about 25 minutes outside of the city, Fresh Air Farm provides a rustic-chic feel for weddings and other special occasions. The restored, 100-year-old barn is the main event space and it will likely be the highlight of your visit to the farm.

The Fresh Air Farm can accommodate up to 125 people and you have the option to purchase food and beverage service in addition to your rental fee. The property also offers breathtaking views that make it perfect for photographing your event. This location is sure to create an unforgettable event for your guests.

Loose Mansion

Loose Mansion is located close to Country Club Plaza and it is the perfect location for an upscale event. The 15,000 sq. foot mansion can hold up to 400 guests and the services include in-house catering and an event management staff.

Your guests will love exploring the historic mansion and you and some of your guests have the option to stay overnight in the adjacent carriage house. It is no surprise that the Kansas City community voted Loose Mansion the best event venue in Kansas City two years in a row.

Rumely Tractor Historic Event Space

The Rumely Tractor Historic Event Space is located in Kansas City’s West Bottom District. I first became acquainted with it in 2014 when my sister got married there. I quickly fell in love with the ornate chandeliers, exposed columns, and wood floors.

The 6,500 sq. foot venue can hold up to 350 people and the event staff will help you iron out all the details of your event. It was originally built in the 1880’s and many of the building’s original features have been preserved. The building has tons of history and character while still managing to capture a feeling of shabby chic elegance.

The Event Space at Nara

The Event Space at Nara is an urban downtown loft. It seats up to 160 people or can accommodate 200 for a cocktail hour. The event space features gorgeous exposed brick, 14-foot ceilings, and a breathtaking view of the downtown skyline.

There is on-site catering available and the staff is incredibly professional and easy to work with. And the convenient location makes it easy for guests from all areas of the city to attend.

Send out the invites!

Now that you’ve got your perfect party venue lined up, its time to get out those invites! If you’re hosting a small event, that shouldn’t be a problem – Facebook or other social media should do the trick.

However, once you start getting to larger events, it might be a good idea to partner with a company to provide direct mail fulfillment services. That way you can provide a mailer, a list of addresses, and then sit back and wait for the RSVPs to come flooding in!
