November is here and the stores are officially flooded with Christmas decorations. You may not be quite ready to turn on the Christmas tunes yet but I’m guessing you are already thinking about holiday shopping. If so, you’re in luck because Kansas City has some great spots for shopping.
These five shopping areas have everything you are looking for; whether you are looking to save, find a unique shopping experience, or want to entertain children while you browse. Listed below are the five best spots for shopping in Kansas City:
Are you looking to get some shopping done but have multiple kids in tow? Crown Center may be just what you are looking for. This three-floor shopping area has tons of one-of-a-kind stores as well as multiple entertainment and dining opportunities.
After a long day of shopping, your kids will love having their food delivered to them by train at the historic Fritz’s Railroad Restaurant. Plus, you are literally minutes from Legoland, Science City, and Kaleidoscope so your options for entertainment are endless.
The Country Club Plaza
The Plaza is perfect for anyone looking to turn their shopping excursion into an all-day event. It spans over 15 blocks and offers more than 150 stores and dozens of incredible restaurants.
The shops open at 10 AM during the week and there are a ton of great stores like Athleta, H&M, and Sperry. And if you get tired from all the walking you can opt to take a horse-drawn carriage ride and take in the sights instead.
This Northland outdoor shopping mall is one of Kansas City’s best shopping spots. There’s free parking and you have access to popular brands like Gap and American Eagle. Plus, you have your pick of dozens of great restaurants and novelty shops.
And if you get burnt out on shopping, Zona Rosa has tons of other events and activities going on. You can head over to the KC Yoga Center for some exercise or enjoy a few laughs at The Kansas City Improv Comedy Club and Dinner Theatre.
The Legends Outlets
At the Legends, you can dig through dozens of brand-name labels at a fraction of what it would normally cost you. Find amazing deals at stores like Brooks Brothers, Nike, and Polo Ralph Lauren. And when you’re done, you can rejuvenate at one of the many nearby restaurants.
If you are looking for a less commercialized feel but still enjoy the retail experience, you will love the Brookside shops. Originally built in the 1920’s, the Brookside shops have a ton of unique independently owned store.
And the wide, tree-lined sidewalks give the area a cozy, neighborly feel to it. Pick up some all-natural dog treats from the Brookside Barkery or take the kids to Brookside Toy & Science. Plus, there are several galleries you can visit and numerous restaurants where you can stop for a bite to eat.
