About the Independence Events Center

“Let us amaze you” is the unofficial motto of the Independence Department of Tourism and the goal of the Independence Events Center. This state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility features an intimate arena with 5,800 fixed seats, 25 luxury suites, and 2,200 paved parking spaces on site. The Independence Events Center is centrally located off of Interstate 70, Highway 40 and MO 291 and hosts a variety of events including: concerts; trade shows; professional, collegiate and high school sporting events, and community ceremonies. The events center is home to the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League (CHL) and the Missouri Comets of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). One of the finest ice skating facilities in the Midwest, the Centerpoint Community Ice offers a wide variety of programs including public skating, learn-to-skate classes, figure skating, hockey, special events, birthday parties and private rentals. The facility also hosts a full-service concession stand, skate sharpening services and a Pro Skate Shop for all guests skating equipment, gear and apparel needs.
