Your Fall Guide to the Best Pumpkins Patches in KC

  • Attractions

There’s a lot to love about fall in Kansas City. And one of my favorite things about fall is that it means a trip to the pumpkin patch. No matter what part of the city you live in, there are plenty of great pumpkin patches to choose from.

Here are the top five pumpkins patches in KC:

Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch

The Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch is located in Kearney, MO. It will be a little more of a drive for those of you located out south but I promise it’s worth the trip.

At the Fun Farm, you have your pick of the usual attractions: a corn maze, a hayride, a pumpkin patch. But they have a few unique attractions as well.

Namely, a giant 4-foot corn pit for the kids. There’s big bouncing pillow for kids to jump. And my favorite, a pumpkin cannon that shoots real pumpkins into the air.

Carolyn’s Country Cousins

Carolyn’s Country Cousins is another favorite of mine. It’s located on a farm south of Liberty, MO.

I love many things about Carolyn’s but their pumpkin donuts are at the top of that list. I dare you to find another pumpkin patch in Kansas City with better pumpkin donuts.

They also offer train rides, pig races, and a mining camp kids will love. And it’s right next door to the Liberty Corn Maze which is “the largest corn maze in Missouri”.

Faulkner’s Pumpkin Patch

This pumpkin patch is located closer to the city but you still get to enjoy an out-of-the-way country feel. They offer a ton of great attractions including a hayride around the farm, face painting, a cow milking contest, and a Wild West playground.

If you wait until the weekends, you can enjoy a Stagecoach Bounce House with a slide. And for an extra fee, there are pony rides and a zip line.

Louisburg Cider Mill

The Louisburg Cider Mill has always been one of Kansas City’s hottest attractions. Individuals of all ages will love the Louisburg Cider Mill. It’s known for the delicious apple cider and donuts.

They also have a corn maze, a petting zoo, and a bouncing pillow for kids to jump on.  And their pumpkin patch is huge — 10 acres to be exact. The Cider Mill provides wheelbarrows to help haul especially large pumpkins.

KC Pumpkin Patch

Located in Olathe, the KC Pumpkin Patch offers over 50 attractions. There’s a pumpkin patch, Side Mountain, duck races, and a barrel train.

They offer some special attractions that are only available on the weekends. There are stage shows featuring magicians and musicians. And even a Mining Sluice where kids can mine for gemstones.

This pumpkin patch is perfect for kids of all ages. And I was pleasantly surprised to learn that their corn maze is free.
